Food Bowl Prep Training (dogs)

A great way to support both our staff and dogs is by helping us get ready for mealtime. While feeding the dogs is a staff-only task, trained volunteers are invited to assist with preparing food bowls before meals.

Volunteers will learn how to follow our feeding charts to portion meals correctly and how to prepare the wet food mix that is added to each bowl.

Age Requirements:

• Volunteers 16 years and older may train and sign up to prep food bowls independently.
• Volunteers ages 13–15 may participate only when accompanied by an adult (18+) who is also volunteering with them.

Once you’ve completed training, you’ll be able to sign up for food prep shifts on your own whenever opportunities are available.
