Volunteer Opportunity: FOHA Transport Drivers Needed!
FOHA is seeking dependable and animal-loving volunteers to help transport our dogs and cats for a variety of important trips. If you're comfortable behind the wheel—especially in a larger vehicle like our FOHA van—we need you!
We are currently recruiting for:
Weekday Medical Transport Drivers
Transport a dog or cat to a nearby veterinary appointment. These trips are typically 1–2 animals and may be suitable for your own vehicle—or you can use the FOHA van if preferred.Intake Drivers
Help bring new dogs and cats to FOHA from our rescue partners. Intake usually takes place in Staunton, VA on Saturdays around 12 PM, with possible Wednesday meetups. Most intakes require use of the FOHA van due to the number of animals. Meet up address: 134 Rowe Rd Staunton Va 24401Event Drivers
We’re expanding our off-site event efforts and would love to use our FOHA van to bring adoptable dogs to the community! You’ll meet handlers at the event—your role is to be their ride to a brighter future.
Requirements:
Comfortable driving the FOHA van is strongly preferred.
Valid driver’s license and completion of Yellow-Level Volunteer Training (not required for cat transport).
Responsible, reliable, and ready to be part of a lifesaving team!
